We need a transparent, independent audit of government finances and spending priorities, including detailed accounting of reserves, ongoing commitments, and contracts with private firms. Immediate steps should include freezing nonessential spending, eliminating duplicative administrative positions, and redirecting funds to repair roads, upgrade infrastructure, and lower costs for residents.

If the government truly cannot fund these basics, it must explain precisely why, with numbers, and present a clear plan to fix it. Yukon residents deserve accountability, not excuses.
