OUTFITTERS NEED TO BE HELD ACOUNTABLE ENOUGH OPEN YOUR BOOKS YOU SAY THE MONEY STAYS IN YUKON SHOW US
THIS IS OUR OPINION ON THE OPEN LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.

The Mask of Environmentalism and the Reality of Corruption
Let’s drop the formalities, Wade. We will use your first name because the title of "Minister" is earned through integrity and service to the people, two things you have failed to demonstrate.
While you spend your time courting news cameras and posing as a champion for the Yukon environment and wildlife, the actual hunters and citizens of this territory are being ignored. It is easy to hide behind "science" and the performative gesture of giving meat to communities to soothe your conscience, but we see through the deflection. Using science as a shield to profit off our resources isn’t leadership; it’s a scam.
The letter from Mr. Boisvert has opened a door that you cannot close. He spoke clearly about the future of hunting for Yukoners, and your response, or lack thereof, is telling. But the real scandal isn’t just the policy; it’s the rot in the system. The fact that a government employee is representing the Outfitters Association is a textbook conflict of interest that should be a national embarrassment.
When the people who are supposed to regulate the industry are the ones running the lobbyists for the industry, the game is rigged. The closed sheep hunt extensions aren't about biology; they are about bank accounts. You are sacrificing the heritage of Yukon hunters to line the pockets of outfitters.
So, we stop asking "if" there is corruption and start asking "how deep" it goes. Who else is signing off on this? Which bureaucrats are taking orders from the Association? How far up the chain does this betrayal go?
The Yukon public is tired of the deflections. We are tired of the curated press releases. The hornets' nest is stirred, Wade, and we aren't going away until the corruption is laid bare.
Respond to the complaints. Stop the PR tour. Tell us who else is involved.**
