FUNNY THING WE'RE COMPLAINING ABOUT OUTFITTERS AND HUNTING AND OUR FAMOUS MINISTER IS ALL OVER THE NEWS PLAYING CONCERN OVER WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT BUT WON'T REPLY TO THE CONSERVATION OFFICERS SERVICES CORUPTION SCANDAL

WE DON'T BUY IT

We don’t buy it, Wade. We’ll use your first name, because you don’t deserve to be called Minister. Instead of running to the media and pretending your office is concerned about Yukon’s environment and wildlife, why not answer the complaints already forwarded to you? People are watching, and the silence is making this look worse by the day.

There is a growing sense that corruption is being protected, not exposed. How far does it go up the chain, Wade? Because this doesn’t look like a simple disagreement anymore, it looks like a government willing to bend over backwards for outfitters while Yukon hunters are expected to sit down and take it. An extension of the closed sheep hunt that harms Yukoners while benefiting outfitters is bad enough. But having a government employee represent the Outfitters Association? That is a blatant conflict of interest.

Mr. Boisvert’s letter to the editor has clearly struck a nerve because he said what many people are thinking: the future of hunting in Yukon matters, and it should not be sold off behind closed doors. His point was straightforward and well explained, and there is no honest response to it because the issue is bigger than the usual excuses about “science” and community meat donations. That deflection is getting old. It’s not a defense, it’s a smokescreen.

Sheep management has nothing to do with moose, and everyone knows it. This is about priorities, profit, and who gets to benefit from Yukon’s resources. The public deserves straight answers, not spin, not evasions, and not bureaucrats pretending this isn’t a scandal. So once again, the question remains: how far up the chain does this corruption go?

When you and your Ministry start respecting taxpayers will respect you.
